Dennis Andrew Nilsen also known as the Muswell Hill Murderer and the Kindly Killer is a British serial killer who lived in London.
Nilsen killed at least fifteen men and boys in gruesome circumstances between 1978 and 1983, and was known to retain corpses for sex acts. He was eventually caught after his disposal of dismembered human entrails blocked his household drains: the drain cleaning company found that the drains were congested with human flesh and contacted the police.
Due to the similarities between their crimes, sexuality and lifestyle, Nilsen has been referred to as the "British Jeffrey Dahmer.
Nilsen was born in Strichen, Aberdeen shire to a Scottish mother and a Norwegian father. His father was an alcoholic and his parents divorced when he was four years old. His mother remarried and sent her son to his grandparents, but after a couple of years, he was sent back to his mother again.
Nilsen claimed the first traumatic event to shape his life came about when he was a small child, when his beloved grandfather died. His strict Catholic mother insisted that he view the body before burial. Whether this incident, or his mother and stepfather's lectures on the "impurities of the flesh" helped shape him into what he was to become, no one really knows.
In 1961, Nilsen enlisted in the British Army and became a cook in Aden, Cyprus and Berlin. He left the army in 1972 and served briefly as a police officer. From the mid 1970s, Nilsen worked as a civil servant in a jobcentre.
He was involved in a series of superficial, transitory relationships with men, though they did not assuage his feelings of profound isolation and loneliness. Elias Abuelazam (born August 28, 1976) is an Israeli convicted murderer, and suspect of racial serial killing and multiple stabbings. He is suspected in a string of 18 stabbing attacks in the spring and summer of 2010 which resulted in five deaths.
Most of the attacks occurred in Genesee County, Michigan (particularly in and around Flint). Four stabbings occurred outside of Michigan: three in Leesburg, Virginia and another in Toledo, Ohio. Abuelazam is also suspected in an unsolved March 2009 homicide in Leesburg. All of Abuelazam's alleged victims were described as "small framed" (e.g. short, thin, non-muscular) men, most of them African Americans.
During the investigation, Michigan media dubbed him "The Genesee County Serial Slasher" (or alternately "The Genesee County Serial Stabber"). Abuelazam was 6 feet 5 inches (1.96 m) and weighed 280 pounds (130 kg) at the time of his booking.
Abuelazam has been convicted in one of the murders, that of 49 year old Arnold Minor in Flint, Michigan which occurred on August 2, 2010. He is currently serving a sentence of life imprisonment without the possibility of parole for that crime.
As a result, Genesee County prosecutors have announced Abuelazam will not stand trial for the other crimes in their jurisdiction, nor will authorities in Toledo or Leesburg try him. He is currently incarcerated at the Ionia Maximum Correctional Facility in Ionia, Michigan, inmate number 842658.
Police and prosecutors claim Abuelazam would drive around late at night, approach men who were walking alone, ask for directions or help fixing his vehicle, and then stab them. Abuelazam's alleged victims have been mostly black, and police in Leesburg suspect the attacks may have been racially motivated. Genesee County prosecutors however have declined to speculate on his motive.
Abuelazam is also suspected of having stabbed a friend in the face with a screwdriver while on a visit to his family in Ramla, Israel in early 2010. Police did not pursue the case because the friend refused to press charges.
Leesburg Police have said Abuelazam is also a suspect in an unsolved homicide from March 2009.
In Genesee County, the announcement that a string of stabbings in the Flint area that date back to May was the work of one man came on August 4, 2010. The next week on August 9, police in Leesburg connected three stabbings there via their victims' descriptions of the suspect, his vehicle and his mode of operation. That same day a multi-jurisdictional full time task force was set up in Genesee County. Graham Fredrick Young (7 September 1947 – 1 August 1990) was an English serial killer who used poison to kill his victims. He was sent to Broadmoor Hospital in 1962 after poisoning several members of his family, killing his stepmother. After his release in 1971 he went on to poison 70 more people, two of whom died. Young, who was known as the Teacup Poisoner, was then sent to Parkhurst Prison where he died of a heart attack in 1990. Young was born in Neasden, north west London. His mother died a few months after his birth. He was sent by his father to live with an uncle and aunt, while his older sister went to live with grandparents. A few years later he was separated from his aunt and uncle in order to live with his father and new stepmother.
He was fascinated from an early age by poisons and their effects.[citation needed] In 1959 Young passed his eleven-plus, and went to Grammar School.
In 1961, he started to test poisons (including antimony) on his family, enough to make them violently ill. Since February, 37-year-old Molly Young had suffered vomiting, diarrhea and excruciating stomach pain, which she initially dismissed as bilious attacks. Before long her husband Fred, 44, was also suffering, with similar stomach cramps debilitating him for days at a time. Then Young's sister was violently ill on a couple of occasions that summer. Between late 1977 to early 1978 cousins Kenneth Bianchi and Angelo Buono carried out a reign of terror in California, kidnapping, raping and killing 10 girls aged between 12 and 28 years old, strangling each victim in the hills above Los Angeles which led to them being known as ‘the Hillside Stranglers’. Bianchi attempted to plead not guilty by way of insanity but was found to be faking mental illness, so instead agreed to plead guilty and testify against Buono. Both were sentenced to life imprisonment. Buono died of a heart attack in his cell in 2002.
Dennis Raider murdered 10 people in Sedgwick County, Wichita, Kansas between 1974 and 1991. Obsessed with notoriety, Raider sent taunting letters to police under the name BTK which stood for ‘Bind, Torture, Kill’. Rader stalked his victims before breaking into their homes, then binded their limbs before strangling them. Having disappeared in 1988, BTK remerged 2005 when he sent a floppy disc to the press which was to be his downfall. Tracing him via the floppy disc, Rader was arrested and charged upon which he immediately confessed. He is serving 10 consecutive life sentences with an earliest possible release date of February 26, 2180.
One of the United States most prolific serial killers, Gary Ridgway was arrested in 2001 for 4 murders though confessed to killing at least 70 women in Washington state throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s. He avoided the death penalty by provided detailed confessions and led police to the dumping sites of his victims, five of whom he dumped in the Green River leading to the press nicknaming him The Green River Killer. He was convicted of 49 murders and sentenced to life imprisonment without parole.
Pedro Rodrigues Filho is a Brazilian serial killer. Arrested in 1973, he was later convicted in 2003 of murdering at least 71 people and sentenced to 128 years imprisonment. Committing his first killing the age of 14 began a series of burglaries and carried out a murdering spree against local drug dealers, in revenge for his girlfriend being killed by criminals whilst he was in prison. By the age of 18 years old he had killed 10 people. Whilst imprisoned, he executed his own father who was also serving time for murder. Remarkably he went onto kill at least 47 inmates while imprisoned. Initially sentenced to just 30 years imprisonment, his continued killings have led to further convictions and his sentence has been increased to 400 years imprisonment.
Camargo was a Colombian serial killer who is believed to have raped and killed over 150 young girls in Colombia and Ecuador during the 1970s and 1980s. He calmly confessed to killing 71 girls in Ecuador after escaping from the Colombian prison. He led authorities to the dumping grounds of those victims whose bodies had not yet been recovered. After raping his victims, he had hacked the girls with a machete. He was convicted in 1989 and sentenced to just 16 years in prison, the maximum sentence available in Ecuador. He murdered various females and gals in Washington State during the 1980s and 1990s. Most of his targets were alleged to be woman of the streets as well as mistress in prone situations, consisting of underage runaways. Journalism gave him his label after the first five targets were found in the Green River; his identification was not known. He suffocated the women, normally manually but occasionally using ligatures. Peter William Sutcliffe (born 2 June 1946) is an English serial killer who was dubbed "The Yorkshire Ripper" by the press. In 1981 Sutcliffe was convicted of murdering 13 women and attempting to murder seven others.
Sutcliffe had regularly used prostitutes in Leeds and Bradford. His outbreak of violence towards them seems to have occurred because he was swindled out of money by a prostitute and her pimp, but he claimed when interviewed by authorities that the voice of God had sent him on a mission to kill prostitutes.
He carried out his murder spree over a five-year period, during which the public were especially shocked by the murders of some women who were not prostitutes. After his arrest in January 1981 for driving with false number-plates, police questioned him about the killings and he confessed that he was the perpetrator.
At his trial, he pleaded not guilty to murder on grounds of diminished responsibility, owing to a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia, but this defence was rejected by a majority of the jury. He is serving twenty concurrent sentences of life imprisonment, currently in Broadmoor High Security Hospital. Timothy Spencer is best known for being the first to be identified and convicted as a result of DNA evidence. His rape and murder spree began in January of 1984 when he killed Carol Hamm after raping her in her Arlington, Virginia, home. Another man was convicted of the murder and not released until Spencer was uncovered five years later.
Spencer resumed killing in September of 1987 when he raped and strangled Debby Davis in Richmond, Virginia, and continued just two weeks later with the slaying of Dr. Susan Hellams, also found raped and strangled. Next was teenager Diane Cho who was killed in her home outside Richmond in November. Susan Tucker joined Spencer's list of victims the next month when she was found, like the others, raped and strangled in her Arlington home.
Spencer was linked scientifically to three of the five murders, though her certainly committed them all, and earned a death sentence in 1988. Robert Charles Browne (born October 31, 1952) is an American murderer serving a double-life sentence in Colorado State Penitentiary. Browne was born in Coushatta, Louisiana. According to a Red River Parrish Sheriff, Browne grew up as one of nine children in a hardscrabble family. He was a high school dropout who joined the United States Army and served from 1969 to 1976, when he was dishonorably discharged for drug abuse.
Browne was arrested on March 28, 1995 on the charge of first-degree murder in the death of Heather Dawn Church, 13, on September 17, 1991. He initially pleaded not guilty to the charges, however, on May 25, 1995, in a plea agreement, changed his plea to guilty so that prosecutors would not seek the death penalty.
On July 27, 2006, in a similar plea agreement, he confessed to the death of Rocio Delpilar Sperry, 15, who was killed on November 10, 1987, at a Colorado Springs apartment complex.
In his confession, authorities say Browne admitted to murdering up to 48 other people in a period spanning from 1970 until his arrest. Browne instigated a new investigation by sending a cryptic letter to the authorities in 2000. Prince either lived near or had friends near the killing scenes.
He was caught when a woman who was getting ready to shower heard someone picking her door lock. She escaped from a rear window and found a friend who came and confronted Prince. He excused himself, but the description led to his arrest. After his arrest, DNA connected him to the murder of Janene Weinhold, and that murder connected him to the others by the pattern presented by the murders.
The woman said he may have followed her from a local gym. All the previous victims had just left the gym, including a mother and daughter. Prince struck when he knew they would be showering and thus be less attentive to their surroundings. He later bragged about the double killing to a friend and took to wearing the dead woman’s wedding ring on a chain around his neck.
Cleophus Prince, Jr. was talked into the East Precinct after several hours (Verified by a Birmingham Police Department Arrest Report, Completed by Officer S. D. Lampley, Arresting Officer) and was accompanied by his mother to the Birmingham, Ala. Police Department. He was extradited to San Diego where the trial was held. Prince was found guilty for all six counts of murder. Cleophus Prince Jr. (born July 24, 1967 (age 48), aka "The Clairemont Killer") is an American serial killer who was convicted and sentenced to death in 1993[1] for the rape and murder of six women in San Diego County, California from January through September 1990. Before these crimes, Prince was court-martialed in 1989 due to larceny, and when he was convicted and served his sentence, it was recommended that he be discharged from the Navy. Multiple books have been written on Prince and his crimes.
Cleophus Prince was court-martialed in October 1989 and convicted of larceny; after serving a brief sentence he was recommended for discharge from the Navy. Two months later, he moved into the Buena Vista Garden apartment complex,[2] which was close to the location of the first three murder victims. He lived at the Buena Vista complex until 2 May 1990.[3]
Before his arrest, police characterized the then-unknown serial killer as a 'disorganized opportunist' for the common patterns in the crimes. In each case, Prince entered the female victim's residence during daylight hours through an unlocked door or window, surprising them during or just after bathing, and stabbed them to death with knives taken from the kitchen.[4]
Police also theorized Prince may have stalked some of his victims, including Pamela Clark at a nearby Miramar fitness club,[5] near his former girlfriend's residence.[3]

This is a 2-disc set from A&E featuring hour-long documentaries about Jeffrey Dahmer, John Wayne Gacy, and Charles Manson, as well as a show about "profilers," the people who can find clues from serial killers' crime scenes and almost uncannily can tell you anything you want to know about the killer without knowing anything about them. The Jeffrey Dahmer episode was the most disturbing as everyone has heard of his massacre in Milwaukee, but there were a lot of details in this episode that I had never heard before. Very scary stuff. Another thing I found interesting was the very mysterious similarities between Dahmer and John Wayne Gacy after watching those episodes back to back. Their methods and motives were strikingly similar which makes it terrifying to think that there are more people like that out there in the world. The Charles Manson episode was kind of unique as it features interviews with Manson and his former "family members" from prison. The women that used to practically be his slave are now serving life sentences and it's sad to think that Manson's brainwashing turned these normal (at least they seemed very normal and apologetic in their interviews) women into brutal killers who ruined the rest of their young lives for pretty much no reason. Anyone familiar with criminal profiling or forensic behavorial science will find this A&E documentary insightful. This documentary gives a brief historical perspective on how the FBI's BSU became such an intricate tool for law enforcement in solving serial homicide cases. It also documents the cases of some of the world's most notorious serial killers like: Gacy, Dahmer and the psychopath, Charles Manson. FBI makes a connection between long-haul truckers, serial killings The FBI suspects that serial killers working as long-haul truckers are responsible for the slayings of hundreds of prostitutes, hitchhikers and stranded motorists whose bodies have been dumped near highways over the last three decades.
Federal authorities first made the connection about five years ago while helping police link a trucker to a string of unsolved killings along Interstate 40 in Oklahoma and several other states. After that, the FBI launched the Highway Serial Killings Initiative to track suspicious slayings and suspect truckers.
A computer database maintained by the FBI has grown to include information on more than 500 female crime victims, most of whom were killed and their bodies discarded at truck stops, motels and other locations along popular trucking routes crisscrossing the U.S.
The database also has information on scores of truckers who've been charged with killings or rapes committed near highways or who are suspects in such crimes, officials said. Theresa Knorr née Cross (born March 12, 1946) is a mother and murderer, known for severely abusing and murdering two of her children while using the others to facilitate and cover up her crimes.
Theresa Cross was born in Sacramento, California to Jim Cross and Swannie Gay. She was the youngest child in the family and very devoted to her mother. When her mother died in 1961, she went into a depression. At the age of 16 she married Clifford Clyde Sanders. They had a son Howard together, but fought from time to time. This ended when she shot him dead in 1964 while they were living in Galt, California. She was tried and found not guilty. She was pregnant at the time and would shortly deliver her second child Sheila in 1965.
In 1966 she married Robert Knorr, seven months pregnant with their child. Her third child was Suesan born in September, 1966. And her fourth, born a year later was William. Her fifth born in 1968 was Robert.
She focused her anger primarily at her daughters and trained her sons to beat and discipline the others. She murdered her oldest daughter Suesan by burning her alive. She then murdered her second daughter, Sheila, through starvation.
Knorr and her sons were arrested in 1993. She first pled not guilty. However, when she learned that one of her sons decided to testify against her, she pled guilty to all charges to avoid capital punishment. She was sentenced to two consecutive life terms. She will be eligible for parole in 2027.
Theresa Jimmie Knorr (born March 14, 1946) is an American woman convicted of torturing and murdering two of her children while using the others to facilitate and cover up her crimes.
Early life
Theresa Knorr was born Theresa Jimmie Cross in Sacramento, California. She was the youngest child in the family and very devoted to her mother. When her mother died in 1961, Cross went into a depression. At age 16, she married Clifford Clyde Sanders. They had a son, Howard Clyde Sanders, in 1964. Their marriage ended when Knorr shot Sanders, 22, to death in the summer of 1964 while they were living in Galt, California. She was tried, but acquitted of the crime, having claimed self defense. She was pregnant at the time and would shortly deliver her second child, Sheila Gay Sanders, in 1965.
In 1966, when seven months pregnant with her third child, she married the child's father, Robert Knorr. The child, Suesan Marlene Knorr, was born in September of that year, followed in 1967 by a son named William Robert Knorr, and in 1968, another son, Robert Wallace Knorr, Jr. In 1970, Theresa gave birth to a daughter, Theresa (Terry) Marie Knorr, named after herself.
None of Knorr's children were spared her physical, verbal, and psychological abuse. However, Knorr had a special hatred for her daughters Suesan and Sheila, fueled by jealousy that the girls were growing up and blossoming into young women while she faced the prospect of growing old and losing her looks, according to an interview with her surviving daughter, Terry, in an episode of A&E's Cold Case Files (titled "Mommy's Rules"). For years, Knorr abused and tortured her children in various ways, including burning them with cigarettes and beating them. Police are searching in south-central Wisconsin for the remains of Laurie Depies in an effort to verify Larry DeWayne Hall's confession that he abducted and killed the Appleton woman in 1992.
Town of Menasha Police Lt. Mike Krueger told Gannett Wisconsin Media that a team of plainclothes law enforcement authorities have spent three days digging for evidence of Depies — or other potential victims of Hall — at an undisclosed remote location. Authorities are using ground-penetrating radar and specially trained police dogs in the search.
"He told us there were four bodies in that location," Krueger said last week, declining to specify where the site is or when it was searched. "We haven't found what we're looking for. We're done for now but we'll be going back again and doing more."

In mid-May, Gannett Wisconsin Media reported that Hall admitted buying a T-shirt from Depies at the Fox River Mall store where she worked and later following, abducting and killing her. Rodney James Alcala (born Rodrigo Jacques Alcala Buquor; August 23, 1943) is a convicted rapist and serial killer. He was sentenced to death in California in 2010 for five murders committed in that state between 1977 and 1979.[1] In 2013 he received an additional sentence of 25 years to life after pleading guilty to two homicides in New York in 1971 and 1977.[5] His true victim count remains unknown, and could be much higher.[6][7][8] Prosecutors say that Alcala "toyed" with his victims, strangling them until they lost consciousness, then waiting until they revived, sometimes repeating this process several times before finally killing them.[9][10] He is sometimes labeled the "Dating Game Killer" because of his 1978 appearance on the television show The Dating Game in the midst of his murder spree.[11] Police discovered a collection of more than 1,000 photographs taken by Alcala, mostly of women and teenaged boys, most of them in sexually explicit poses. Joseph Edward Duncan III (born February 25, 1963) is an American convicted serial killer and sex offender who is currently serving multiple concurrent death sentences and life sentences in conjunction with the 2005 kidnapping and murders of members of the Groene family of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
He has also been convicted and scheduled to be sentenced to an additional life sentence for the 1997 kidnapping and murder of Anthony Martinez of Beaumont, California, and has confessed but not been charged with the 1996 murder of two girls in Seattle, Washington.
Born in Tacoma, Washington, Duncan's lengthy criminal history dates to when he was 15 years old. In 1980, he was sentenced to 20 years in prison for sexually assaulting a boy in Tacoma and as a result has spent most of his adult life in prison. He was paroled in 1994 but was returned to prison in 1997 for violating the terms of his parole.
In May 2005, Kootenai County, Idaho authorities discovered the bodies of Brenda Groene, her boyfriend, and her 13-year-old son in the family home near Coeur d'Alene. Authorities also noted that Groene's two other children were missing: Shasta, 8, and Dylan, 9. After an intense search for the two children, Shasta was found alive with Duncan at a restaurant in Coeur d'Alene nearly seven weeks later, and Duncan was arrested in conjunction with her kidnapping. Dylan's remains were found days later in a remote area near St. Regis, Montana. Duncan was subsequently charged with murdering Dylan as well as the three victims at the Coeur d'Alene home.
During his incarceration, authorities connected Duncan with the long unsolved murders of Anthony Martinez in California and two girls in Seattle, all of which occurred during Duncan's parole from 1994--1997. Of those murders, Duncan has only been charged in the California case. Luis Alfredo Garavito Cubillos, a.k.a "La Bestia" ("The Beast") or "Tribilín" (American Spanish translation of Disney's "Goofy") (born 25 January 1957 in Génova, Quindío, Colombia) is a Colombian rapist and serial killer. In 1999, he admitted to the rape and murder of 147 young boys.[1] The number of his victims, based on the locations of skeletons listed on maps that Garavito drew in prison, could eventually exceed 300. He has been described by local media as "the world's worst serial killer" because of the high number of victims.[2]
Once captured, Garavito was subject to the maximum penalty available in Colombia, which was 30 years. However, as he confessed the crimes and helped authorities locate bodies, Colombian law allowed him to apply for special benefits, including a reduction of his sentence to 22 years and possibly an even earlier release for further cooperation and good behavior. Colombian law has since increased the maximum penalty to 60 years in prison.[3]
In subsequent years, Colombians have increasingly felt that due to Garavito's approaching early release, his sentence is not sufficient punishment for his crimes. Colombian law originally had no way to extend the sentence, because cases of serial killers like Garavito had no legal precedent in the country and thus the legal system could not properly address this case. Serial killer, thief. Born on April 6, 1944, in Saigon, Vietnam. Charles Sobhraj was first called the Bikini Killer after the swimsuit one of his victims was wearing when she was discovered. He then earned the nickname the Serpent for his numerous escapes from jail. The son of an Indian father and a Vietnamese mother, Sobhraj spent part of his childhood on the rough streets of Saigon and was shuttled back and forth between his parents. His mother later had another child and married a soldier in the French Army who initially rejected Sobhraj.
In 1962, Sobhraj served time for stealing a car in France. After his release, he married and had a daughter, but later abandoned his family. Sobhraj eventually linked up with Marie-Andrée Leclerc who became his mistress and accomplice. During the 1970s, he befriended mostly western tourists in Asia, drugging and killing them. According to The New York Times, it is believed that he killed between 12 to 24 people from 1972 to 1976.
For years, Sobhraj traveled around Europe and Asia. According to an article in the Boston Globe, he escaped custody in at least four countries. Whenever he went, he prayed on the unsuspecting. Fluent in several languages, he was a skilled con artist who often targeted young backpackers were exploring what was known as the Hippie Trail, which runs through Afghanistan and Nepal into Southeast Asia.

OFFICIALLY no one will ever know why Francis Michael Fahey butchered two Brisbane prostitutes, but his wife has no doubts it is linked to Fahey's work as an ambulance officer.
In the Supreme Court in Brisbane yesterday, Fahey was sentenced to two life sentences for the murders of Jasmin Crathern and Julie Louise McColl.
He will have to serve 25 years in jail before he can apply for parole, but the court was told that because of Fahey's health, he was likely to die in jail.
Fahey picked up the women in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley area and then drove them to secluded places where he killed them.
Outside court Fahey's wife Beth said she hoped for the victims' families' sake the sentence would give them some closure.
She said she believed anti-depressant medication Fahey was taking at the time, because of stress from work as an ambulance officer, could have caused his behaviour.
She said her husband's character changed and his efforts to get help were ignored by officials.
"He was singing out for help and wasn't getting it. I saw him go from a vibrant man who loved his work to a cowering and crying person," she said.
The resumed sentence hearing yesterday was delayed after the government medical officer was called to examine Fahey and his ability to comprehend the hearing.
After Fahey was cleared to continue, Crown prosecutor Peter Feeney withdrew an application to have Fahey sentenced to an indefinite term. The decision came after medical advice on Fahey's health and observations made on indefinite sentencing by the High Court in a recent case involving Darling Downs rapist Jason Buckley.
Mr Feeney said the murders were brutal and must have been terrifying for the victims.
"Fahey must have derived so much pleasure from the first killing that it overwhelmed any qualms about the second," he said.
Barrister Rick Taylor, for Fahey, said
His client was diagnosed with an adjustment disorder, had a heart attack in 1999 and also had problems with his hearing in one ear. He said Fahey had no previous criminal convictions, a good work history and there was no explanation for the offences.
Justice White said it was not possible for the court to speculate whether Fahey's actions were a result of the "horrors" he had witnessed as an ambulance officer.
Justice White sentenced Fahey to two life sentences, with a minimum 25 years to be served before he would be eligible to apply for parole.
Outside court, McColl's father Tom Annas had nothing to say about the sentence. However, investigating lead officer Superintendent Mike Condon said the family was satisfied with the result.
Last September, Fahey, of Narangba north of Brisbane, was convicted of the killings by a jury which deliberated for four hours. The two-week trial was told Fahey had murdered Crathern at Hendra on August 8, 2002, and McColl at Bald Hills on February 26, 2003.

The Beltway sniper attacks were a series of coordinated shootings that took place over three weeks in October 2002 in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.. Ten people were killed and three other victims were critically injured in several locations throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and along Interstate 95 in Virginia. It was widely speculated that a single sniper, initially identified as a white man with assumed military experience, was using the Interstate 495 Capital Beltway for travel, possibly in a white van or truck. It was later learned that the rampage was perpetrated by an African-American man, John Allen Muhammad, and a minor, Lee Boyd Malvo, then aged 17 and originally from Jamaica, driving a blue 1990 Chevrolet Caprice sedan, and had apparently started in February 2002 with murders and robberies in Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, and Washington State, which resulted in seven deaths and seven injuries, bringing the total victim count to seventeen deaths and ten injuries in Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Texas, Virginia, and Washington State, as well as D.C.[1] In September 2003, Muhammad was sentenced to death. One month later, Malvo was sentenced to six consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole. John Wayne Gacy, Jr. (March 17, 1942 -- May 10, 1994) was an American serial killer and rapist, also known as the Killer Clown, who was convicted of the sexual assault and murder of a minimum of 33 teenage boys and young men in a series of killings committed between 1972 and 1978 in Chicago, Illinois. All of Gacy's known murders were committed inside his Norwood Park Township home; his victims would typically be lured to this address by force or deception and all but one victim were murdered by either asphyxiation or strangulation with a tourniquet (his first victim was stabbed to death). Gacy buried 26 of his victims in the crawl space of his home; three further victims were buried elsewhere on his property, while the bodies of his last four known victims were discarded in the Des Plaines River. Convicted of 33 murders, Gacy was sentenced to death for 12 of these killings on March 13, 1980. He spent 14 years on death row before he was executed by lethal injection at Stateville Correctional Center on May 10, 1994. On Sunday, 8 February 1981, apprentice plumber Scott Davies was on a track leading down from Jamberoo Mountain Lookout, looking for dumped car parts to repair his old Holden, when he found the naked body of a young woman lodged against a tree. The body was face-down, in a crouching position. The wrists have been tied to the ankles with a bone-coloured bra and a blouse was wrapped around her arm. Her head was obscured from view. Davies scrambled back up the mountain and alerted police.
When police recovered the body, it was found that the head, in fact, was not obscured from view but had been cut off at the neck. Additionally, the woman’s fingers on both hands had been cut off at the knuckles. The fingers on the right hand had been removed with a hacksaw, the left hand fingers had been removed with pliers. The post mortem showed that these had been removed after death, that her right arm was broken, and that there was no evidence of sexual assault. It also showed no cause of death.
As drug gangs at the time were known to dispose of their couriers and cut off their heads and fingers to avoid identification of the bodies, NSW Police initially suspected the crime was drug-related. They tried to identify the body by checking its palm prints against their database, a task which at the time needed to be done by eye. This revealed no match with any palm prints held on file. Not knowing what else to do to identify the body, the police released photographs of the bra and blouse found with it.
Beverley Barry returned to her Mt. Pleasant home in time to catch the news. She recognised the clothing as that belonging to her daughter, Kim, who had been missing since Friday night. Arohn Kee began his New York City spree of rape and murder, as far as anyone knows, on January 24, 1991 when he killed thirteen-year-old Palo Illera. On September 13, 1997 Kee did the same to Johalis Castro, 19, before burning her body beyond recognition. Not yet finished, he raped, sodomized, and murdered Rasheeda Washington 18, on June 2, 1998. During the time of these killings Kee also committed rape and forced sodomy against several teen girls.
A suspect almost from the time of the Illera slaying, Kee managed to evade serious suspicion until early 1999 when he was put under surveillance in the hope that police coud gather some from of DNA evidence against him. Their break came soom afterward when Kee was detained briefly on theft charges. Though Kee refused to voluntarily submit a sample, one was gathered from a cup he used before his release. Kee fled New York before the results could link him to his sex crimes but was apprehended in a Miami hotel a few days later along with his very lucky seventeen-year-old girlfriend.
Though the defense attacked the method used to collect the DNA sample, he was still found guilty of the three murders and four rapes. When led from the courtroom after the verdict Kee shouted toward the spectators, "Fuck all o' y'all!" He apologized for the remark at his sentencing on January 25, 2001, where he recieved a 400 year prison term.
9/15/2004 - Kee was sentenced to twenty more years in prison for the 1994 rape of a 17-year-old girl in a Harlem apartment building basement.
